How do water bottles turn into super-soft scrub uniforms?

The answer is not magic, it’s science. Here’s how it works:

1. Used plastic bottles are collected for recycling. 

2. The bottles are sent to a reclaiming facility and thoroughly cleaned.

3. The bottles are sorted by colour, ground into flakes, tossed in hot air and, at last, melted into a thick liquid. 

4. The liquid is passed through plates with tiny holes – sort of like a showerhead. 

5. This process turns the liquid into super-fine stands called filaments. Filaments are much thinner than cotton. In fact, each one is around 5x thinner than human hair.

6. The filaments are cut, stretched, aligned, and woven into a soft, cosy polyester fabric that we know you’re going to love.

• The fabric is coloured using low-water, eco-friendly dye
• We use carbon-neutral shipping where possible
• Offcuts from our scrubs production process are recycled into scrunchies and scrub caps.
